I've come up with lots of ways to use it up besides everyday use....I make different cheeses, mozarella, chevre, amish soda cheese, cottage cheese and cheddar. I make alot of pudding.....Instant in any flavors your family likes and I sometimes even make frozen pudding pops with those ice pop molds from Walmart or the Dollar store. I pack hubby a lunch for work and use those small disposable dixie type cups to put pudding in for him, I just wrap it well with saran wrap and make sure he has a plastic spoon( forgot one once and heard all about how chocolate pudding is good when using a potato chip to eat it with)
I use 2 quarts at a time to make yogurt and I make ice cream too and theres even a neighbor who takes half a gallon a week.
Oh and a big bowl of cereal for dinner on a hot night is filling and uses up milk too!
I try to keep my freshened does to a minimum of 3 because I can only use so much milk, even with soapmaking I still end up with a good bit in the freezer.
