New to goats! Pen feedback please!

My husband and I are the happy new owners of 3 Nigerian Dwarf goats! We live in a rural area outside the city and are doing our best to provide the most suitable home possible for the kids! We have several acres, most of it hilly with lots of unwanted blackberry bushes, scotch broom, alders ect. We wanted goats for pets (they are from a local petting zoo) and ideally to also clear land!
We had to clear the land of trees and heavy ground cover to build the main pen. There was no grass there and the dirt was as fine and dry as moon dust! We easily built the little barn, obstacles, feeders and all that and we are happy with how it all turned out. Now we had to solve the problem of the very dusty ground! Not only would it be a horrible mess and hard on everyone's lungs, but we live in a rainy climate, mud city! So we trucked in a load of clean sand to cover the ground of the pen! The goats seem to like it and its working for us, but I am still anxious to make sure I have done an alright thing for the little ones! There are some before pics and after pics attached. Thanks for feedback!

It looks great! Nice secure fencing, shelter, toys...it all looks really nice. I'm not sure how you feed them, but a feeder where they won't be eating on the sand will be great...you don't want them taking that in with their feed...but looks like you're very prepared. I really like it! :hi5:

Thanks so much! It is a big relief to get an OK on our set up from someone with experience!

Looks great and I'm sure they'll be very appeciative with not having to walk through mud!
My goats hate getting their feet muddy and I end up putting stepping stones through the pens for them during rainy weather.

Their shed looks good too...I like the porch! You may want to add a 3/4 wall to the front of the bedding area to keep it cozy during bad/cold weather

Ah thanks everyone! Oh and Liz, the walls to the sides of the porch are barn doors which we keep latched open during the day and then it turns into a little barn for nights (cougars in our area) and I have been closing one of the doors when it's really windy! Do you suggest we construct a partial wall around the porch also? This is the kind of project where it's nice to have a partner who works in construction!
