    The Golden Guernsey goat is a rare kind that had its breeding started in Britain's Channel Islands. Its breed is a mix of other local breeds with the Swiss and Anglo-Nubian kinds. This happened during the years of 1920-1950. They are raised for milk production according to the British Goat Society. Its milk has high butter fat content making it ideal for making cheese. Its breed is commonly polled.
