I have a doe that was due yesterday and this morning noticed a bit of strange discharge. I know discharge is common at this point, just wanted to make sure this looked normal. She had a little fall the other day and has seemed fine and I'm fairly certain I've seen her kids moving since. At first I thought this might have been blood but looking closer I don't think so. Looks fine to me. They can have a lot of various amount and color of discharge leading up to kidding.

Thanks! I thought so but am just a worrier ;) here's her udder today, a little lopsided because she had a single kid last year and I never could get it evened out. Does she look close? ImageUploadedByGoat Forum1489940917.542556.jpg

Looks like she still has some filling to do. She might decide to fill super late though. How are her ligs?

I'm so terrible at finding ligs. I always think they are gone but then kidding never happens so I figured I must be doing it wrong. :) she's driving me crazy

I've had does never loose logs and one doe that lost ligs when she started pushing. Watch her udder to see if it starts strutting. If I were you I would check on her mornings and nights if you can do it in the evening then do that too. Was yesterday 150 days?

Her udder isn't full yet, when it gets tight, it will be soon.
As mentioned, sometimes they can fill overnight or fill after kidding.

Not seeing a discharge. Unless it is the scabby looking stuff. Does she have a cut there?

Yes yesterday was 150 days. I have been spending a lot of time with her today :) probably driving her a little crazy. She has been stretching and yawning a lot though so hopefully getting closer.

The discharge is the brownish gooey stuff in the first picture. It's gone now and there isn't a cut or anything there

Day 152 and the stinker is still holding out on me ;) I'm glad she didn't go in the night at least. I have a baby (human!) with a double ear infection so haven't been getting much sleep and she would have been on her own. She's acting a little skiddish this morning on my morning check and won't even let me get behind her. Unusual for her. My six year old has been telling me since last week today would be the day. Maybe he knows something I don't! Today is supposed to be the first warm day of the year so it's a good day for babies to be born. I'm sure we will be hanging out in the barn most of today :)
