I have a goat that has been bloated at least a week and possibly two. I thought it would either get worse and I would take her to vet or it would go away. So far neither has happened. I left her baking powder and mixed some treats in to make sure she ate it. She did but is still bloated. She is fine. She jumps on objects I have for her to climb, eats, runs around, etc. What do I do? Will this go away on its own? Also it's likely she is about 2 months pregnant. Would this cause such a reaction? Maybe I am misdiagnosing it?

She would not be bloated for a week or 2 and be ok. More than likely just a good working rumen. I hope it was baking soda and not baking powder that you used.

Sounds like a healthy rumen to me.

Karen, is it bad if you accidentally gave a goat baking powder? Just curious.
