So i have four Nigerian Dwarf kids, Some 5 months and one 8 months...
The 8 mouth old is the size of the smallest of the 5 month kids, vet says he may be a dwarf of a dwarf but also may be a slow grower.. We ruled out heart problems and the like so no worries- and he is a very good goat vet.
Now, he is finally growing more but i don't have something to compare his weight with so how much should a 8 month old weigh? He's 30 pounds now.. I know he is not thin, but he's not that tiny anymore either.. He's got a nice big belly and i know that doesn't mean he's not thin but he seems to have good body condition else wear as well. He's a happy little fellow to!
So how much should an ND weigh at one year old? would like to compare as they all grow so i can learn and stuff...

It really depends on the breed lines.
I've got some that will take 2+ years to mature.
I've got some quads/triplets where 1 was smaller and he/she will catch-up but it usually takes a year plus.

My full grown does can weight around 70lbs and bucks around 80lbs.

Just really depends on bone and size too.

There is no exact number. If they are healthy and you are giving them minerals ..... I think that's a better measurement.

There are breed standards on the Nigies.
