I saw a really old post of yours that’s said you raised saanens! And live in central texas. Are both those still true?😂 I live in central texas and am trying to find a saanen, but it’s nearly impossible!

I dont know anyone who have saanen right now.

Saanen do struggle in the texas heat. Plenty of shade, fresh cool clean water throughout the day and dont work them in the heat of the day helps.

I have a 3 week old baby goat, he was fine the first week but after a while he'll get rejected to breast feed sometimes. He also hunch down with tail down and rest his head on walls. We try to bottle feed him but we don't know if it doing anything or not. And wobbles while standing hunch down. Also he been grinding his teeth a lot. What does this mean?

I read your story about your goat. I have a young male who was anemic. The A&M vet clinic do a blood transfusion last Saturday. Butter is eating but not attempting to get up. The vet told me I should stop but I just don’t have the heart to give up on him. I was wondering if you might advise me.

Hello, I am trying to get this under 420 characters but I need help. My pregnant doe has become lethargic, i believe very anemic, her inner eyelids are grey and swelling around her eyeballs. Noisy labored breathing. She is roughly 3 months pregnant. No diarrhea.

Hey! You said this, "Most important is do not let her lay flat. Prop her up sternly . Get her up with support as often as you can so she doesnt loose her muscles" in a recent thread. (Please help) What exactly happens when they lie flat?

Hey. So a goat laying flat can interfere with her rumen function and also can cause bloat..hope that helps. 😁

I picked up two little pygmy/myotonic goats a couple weeks ago, they are so sweet, but unfortunate they were both full of worm and coccidia , since then they have been wormed and had the C shot. Question is should they still have pot bellies? I have them on good food and they have lots of brush to chew on , so whats up with the pot bellies? Think they still have worms??
