There is not so much information shared about this goat breed. However, it was first mentioned in 1887 with the name Pratttigau. Later on, other names of the breed emerged according to how its coat is colored like gray-black-white goat or even as Colomba and Razza Naz. It has mid-length hair and comes horned.
This breed is often a leader in Verzasca herds. Now they spread all over Switzerland. It can produce milk that is the same as other mountain goat breeds and this goes the same for their meat production. There are even about 300 peacock goat breeds taken care of in Switzerland.
