I have a 4 mo old buckling that is losing a lot of hair. It is now very thin in places. What can cause this? What are some remedies? He seems to be very healthy other than the hair loss.

Is the skin OK? Any dander or rough scaly or scabby skin?
Mites, lice, ringworm.

If not, do you have out loose salt and minerals free choice? If not, they need it.
Sweetlix meat maker, is a good one.
You can get one for cattle, that has good copper ppm and selenium, zinc in it.

Copper bolus when they are very deficient. You can order it from Amazon

Adults 4 gm
https://www.amazon.com/UltraCruz-sc-363568-Copper-Bolus-adults/dp/B01LW7QLOE

Kids or small breeds 2 gm
https://www.amazon.com/UltraCruz-Go...=1518717670&sr=8-1&keywords=copper+bolus+kids

Sometimes zinc can be an issue as well.

For minerals I recently started them on Manna Pro Minerals. They do seem to have some dandruff. My daughter thought they might have lice because she found a bug on one of them. I have three goats that are about 3 to 4 mo old and 4 others that range from 6 to 8 months old. 5 Nigerian Dwarfs and 2 Pygmies. The 3 younger goats are seperated from the older ones.

I had serious copper and selenium deficiency issues while giving manna pro. You might want to try something else like Sweetlix or Purina wind and rain.
