Last night I would have bet the farm that Blackie needed another copper bolus. I keep meticulous records of everything done to my goats daily. Last night I looked and was confident that she could use another. So this evening after running waterline for cows and splitting winter fire wood, putting in my large smoker 3 Boston butts and picking up 3, 5 gallon buckets of pecans, when I went I feed this evening I gave her one in an oat peanut butter ball. Went on to feed mineral to cows and checked on my Boston butts and restoke my fire. When I got my bath tonight after putting on a slab of ribs for dinner, I pull out my phone to log Blackie’s update in my spreadsheets. I had given her copper bolus on 11/16/20 and now another on 11/21/20. I feel so bad about a flat out dumb thing, I mean maybe I don’t need someone or thing depending on me for their health. I don’t know what to do. What do I do? This is a very stupid mistake on my part. How I confused this i do not know.
If she is showing true deficiency signs like red fur or fish tail and it was just two 4-gram boluses then I really wouldn't worry. She'll be totally fine.

She is pregnant and her weight is about 75-80lbs maybe a little more. Her tail I have never got it to come to a point. It looks broke a lot of the time. Yes she has shown deficiencies with tail being fishtail and strip down her back. I really thought she needed the bolus but I did not realize that I had given one 5 days ago. I feed her some garlic cloves and the peanut butter and oat ball with the copper in it.
Copper wire particles are slow release. Not to mention that not every particle sticks in the rumen. Some is pooped out. While you should be careful not to bolus her again in the near future, I would not panic over this.
Thanks guys, that did lift me up. I will send her picture and pic of her tail. She had twins last year and I think the same will be this year in December. I will try to make pics tomorrow.
Yep! Totally safe. You may see her ears and nose darken back to red brown rather than blond.
