Question #1- I have a pumpkin that has not been cut yet. Can I and how much can I feed my goats if they will eat it. How do you prepare it for them ? I know pumpkin seed I’d good for worms but what about the rest of pumpkin?

Question #2- How much feed should I be giving my pregnant nannies? I am feeding 15 head about 5-1/2 to 6 quarts twice a day, morning and evening. The mix includes alfalfa pellets and oats equally 50/50 mixed with a cup of Boss mixed in. This equates to about 4/10th of a quart morning and evening for each goat. Almost a quart daily (8/10th)
They gobble everyone scrap of it like it’s not enough. What do you think, too much or too little, or just right? One minutes I think it’s just right then I think it’s too much. They also getting 1/2 bale (square bales) of coastal Bermuda put out every day. They eat on it off and on until by after lunch it’s almost gone.

To the pumpkin question. The seeds I always feed raw. My goats like the flesh raw, but small pieces and in small amounts. They prefer pumpkin flesh cooked (steamed or baked). They totally love it, actually. Depending on the size of the pumpkin, you might want to feed it over a couple of days, so they don’t get upset rumens.

Your goats look so chilled, I tried harness like yours, but kids did not like them, so got soft collars on when I take them for little walk, or if need to restrain them , when I tie them up the collar not good on their little neck, so I use the harness then, little wrigglers though
