Re: 2 year old alpine in milk NE Ohio Yes, I have milked her a little here and there. I have never milked before and she tolerated me pretty well. She wasnt tied up or in a milkstand. Just eating grain. Probably if someone had a milk stand and knew what they were doing they would appreciate her more then I am.

Re: 2 year old alpine in milk NE Ohio She had twins last year and was milked. The owners may have meant 1/2 gallon twice a day. Im not sure because I have nigerians so it seemed like alot either way. Since I couldnt remember I didnt want to say 1 gallon a day and be a lier She had twin kids sired by a kiko. I descided to keep the half meat doe instead of her. Also another stupid reason is she is now the herd queen. Before that my favorite nigerian was herd queen and Id like it to go back to that way. Stupid, I know.
