5 Kinder does due to kid late March to early April. Two of the FF's don't look much pregnant and we haven't verified so always a little anxiety in the wait! We bought our own bucks this year making breeding so much less stressful - yay! Both boys are from great milking lines and very handsome so we're hopeful to see those improvements in the herd :)

What gorgeous chunky goats! I love all your Bezoars. I have a couple FF due end of March as well and I haven't tested either and even though they look preggo I'm still anxious
Goats don't like to give away their secrets! We have to wonder even about the obviously round until you see a leg coming out the hind end ;)

I love how chunky your whole herd is. Any pictures of the daddies? 😉 I can't wait to see your babies!
Waiting is the worst! Especially for us up north that have to wait a little later in the season for kiddings. One reason I love the goat spot is seeing all the early kids :)

I'd love to see your buck pics :) This being our first year with boys I'm just starting to really see good & bad qualities more clearly.
So I guess you saw my pictures over on my kidding thread then. 🙂 I sure do love the coloration of Arthur and Thadeus. I'm got some qualms with Arthur's conformation, but I'm just crossing my fingers that he'll grow out of them.

Yes I happened to see your kidding thread on the "new threads" and took a peek. Love the width on your herd!

I understand wondering about flaws! Have you looked at Arthur's dad? I went with Thad even though his back dips a little. There were pics of his sire that looked similar at the same age but he was nice and flat by a year. Fingers crossed our boy does too. We shall see very soon :)

Well thank you! Width is probably the biggest factor I require in my herd.

I have seen pictures of Arthur's dad, but he wasn't very well set up. It's nerve-wracking watching them grow up sometimes; they can definitely go through some wonky stages. Arthur is leveling out a bit since I took that picture even. Now I'm really more concerned about his steep rump angle, but I've watched that improve on all my other goats with age, so I'm hopeful.

We're getting really close! Our Kinder girls have always given birth 6 days before due, and that's today! Buuutt... there's no action down in the barn aside from looser ligaments and a dropped belly. The waiting game begins. This year I got smart and bought a baby monitor.
Angel is up first. Our sweet, steady herd queen. She was a good milker as a ff and doesn't like to dry off so I suspect she would milk through if I was willing to brave the cold here to milk her. We retained both of her does to assess how they'll milk, and one will be for sale later in the year. We didn't breed her last year so this will be her second freshening.
Paired her with a lovely buck we got this summer out of good balanced milk/meat lines, so expecting some nice kids from her :)
