I haven't seen him pee at all for almost a week now. I'm pretty sure he is, and the one or two times I did see him pee, it was very little. There was no smell, no off color, he hunched over a little bit, but other than that, he acts perfectly fine. I haven't been able to see how much he drinks, but someone's drinking a boatload, I have to keep refilling the tub at least three times a week (big tub). On top of that, he's recently developed a lump on his, err...bits. It's right where they attach to the body, right smack dab in the middle of the crease. I can't for the life of me figure out what it is... I gave him 5cc apple cider vinegar the other day, was going to give him another dose today, seeing as how I think it's UC.
This link below will help if it is UC....But ...if he hasn't went for a week a vet needs to see him immediately... if he is blocked and continues to drink water...that is a bad thing ....as it has no where to go ......he may need a little snip and have his bladder drained before it explodes... as for the lump could be anything...a vet should look at that as well.... viewtopic.php?f=5&t=16671
Well, like I said, he's not in any pain, but I've got him scheduled to see the vet Friday, and see what's going on.
If it is something that can't be fixed/I can't afford, I've already made up my mind what I'm going to do. It's not going to be nice, or fun, but if he really does have something going on, I'm taking him to the abbatoir in the next town. I can't sell him and I've already got his genetics in the herd, so if it's something that's going to be really expensive, or if it is UC, and the ACV doesn't work, it's my next best option.
Don't know what his problem was, but he's fine now. Lump's gone, and while I still haven't seen him pee, I know he has, he was a little drippy. Now I just gotta figure out how to get rid of him. Maybe if I offered to pay someone....
I did finally see him pee this morning, perfectly fine. No odd smells, colors, nothing. I'm thinking the lump on his bits was bothering him is all.
