Hello,
New to goats and I have a sweet 3 week old boer doe who has developed a limp on her front right leg over the past couple days. Today she won’t put any weight on it at all and it is visibly swollen at the knee joint. Temp is 104. I’ve read about joint ill but it doesn’t sound like that at this point. Any thoughts on what this might be and how to treat? I will call a vet tomorrow but concerned she’s in pain and has fever so wonder about infection and/or fracture.

Sounds like joint ill to me. She's at the right age for it. Get the vet out as soon as you can- if it is joint ill, it's imperative that it's treated quickly and aggressively. My neighbor has a beautiful doe with a permanent limp from a case of joint ill, even though the vet saw her right away.

You can give baby aspirin for the fever, since I see you're also in California which means you won't have access to banamine without a vet's prescription.

I agree...with joint ill you need ten days of strong antibiotics..as mentioned Baytril is best for it. I would also give her vit c daily and fresh raw garlic to support her system
