so we have a beautiful doe kid that just recently started limping, checked her legs for broken bones, everything seems fine, when she try’s to walk she’s using her front legs and her back much, checked her little feet which were awful! Thanks to all this wonderful rain and mud we have everywhere! I got her Her feet back to normal. She is alert and eating just fine, I gave her a shot of b12 and an ibuprofen. Any advice besides the vet? If she ain’t walking by tuseday I’m taking her in.

I haven't. Is ad+e and selenium injectable? Can you get it at local farm stores?

I'd get selenium vitamin e gel and give vitamin a and d capsules squirted into her mouth or mixed in her feed I'd you can't find injectable.

yes just get the gel caps and squirt them. They also have e but if you have a tractor supply near you they have paste that have all of them actually two pastes. One is selenium/vit. E ...the other is AD&E.

No ibuprofen is not the best thing for goats. Aspirin or better yet, banamine RX.

You have to get the goat out of any wet area's and keep her feet dry.

Trim the goat and cut away any rot or any pockets on the outer wall.
With iodine, get a tooth brush and brush any area's, which have rot and cut away any pockets, to get as much yuck out of there, hoof rot stinks. Do this daily.

This is for hoof rot.
Any sores in between toes is hoof scald.

Soak her feet in a semi strong iodine/water solution until better and you have no more black area's or bad smell.

Dr Naylors hoof'N heel is also a really good product. A few years ago NC had a really, really wet year. We had some issues that year and the Hoof' N Heel worked very well. We saw results within days! Do you have a stall you can put her in, with fresh, clean wood shavings?
