With hearing about the serious issues that some people here are going through right now, I decided that I need a reminder to enjoy what I have now. It is so easy to slip into worring far in excess than should be done over the samll things.

So a few recent pieces of good fortune.........
1) I needed to sell my baby horse as I'm am too old to really train a youngster and I need to conserve on expenses. I am so fortunate that I have a friend who is willing to buy her - this friend will give her such a cushy life. So no worries about whether it is the right thing to do.
2) I have a place to store hay to carry me through the winter so that I'm not scrambling with trying to get it at a time when it is hard. I built this hayshed myself ( who'd a thunk it) a few years ago in part from redwood milled at my own place. And it's done well for me.
3) I don't have to travel in my desiel truck to work everyday so have been able to hold that scary expense down.
4) I thought I had another very expensive fix needing done with my water system but it turned out that the leak I was able to fix myself resolved the problem.
5) I have my goaties for endless entertainment.

And many more to numerous to list right now but I may come back and add more.

I too have many blessings to be thankful for though at times it is hard to remember them.

1. A loving and caring hubby that sticks by me
2. my mom is still with me after a heart attack in February
3. A handsome little man, my nephew and a beautiful little girl, my niece to help fill the void in my heart with no babies of my own.
4. A very good job that lets me make a house payment and support my "habits"
5. My best to my my sister the mother of the 2 mentioned above
6. The resources I have to support any projects I get into
7. This forum...and all who made it what it is.
8. My goats and the "minimal" problems this year as well as the abundant milk supply!

Hmmm.....I guess those Blessings do come to mind pretty quickly!
