A kind of odd question...

Jenny makes some awful odd noises when I feed them. She'll make this kind of quiet, "talking" noise, more like moaning or groaning, but she only does it when I feed alfalfa. She doesn't do it with grains/pellets that I've noticed. Think maybe she's got a respiratory issue or she just REALLY loves alfalfa?

Our more dominant does will sometimes growl at the other does while they are eating a favorite treat....maybe that is what your girl is doing? :whatgoat: :)

I was thinking the same thing Jess...I have one doe who will mumble a growl while she eats and one that outright growls...If she had a full set of teeth I wouldn't be surprised if she bared them as she growled.
I do have one doe that quietly mumbles/hums when she gets something good...apple slices bring out her voice.

Yep, I agree with Liz and Jess. I have one that does it also. So did her mom.
