I am caring for a goat with a large wound (I previously posted about it) and the vet advised us to add Advantage Multi for cats to silver sulfide cream for fly control/to prevent bugs from getting in the wound. It's been 3 weeks and so far it's been working great, zero bugs in or around the wound. I mix on 2ml (one pack) kitten advantage multi with 50g ointment. I recently searched online to see if this is a typical off label use, but I couldn't find anything. I figured it could be mix with any antibiotic ointment and have the same effect. Has anyone else done this? What do you guys think about it?

I am doing what the vet advised. I'm just wondering if using advantage multi for cats in antibiotic cream is a normal off label use for fly control? I had never heard of doing that before.
