OFF TOPIC but question about keeping a buckling:
Originally, we had planned to slaughter our buckling, born 6 weeks ago, before hard winter sets in, so we didn't dis-bud tho we did band the testes.
PROBLEM: he has the sweetest, warmest personality on earth and now we're all getting attached to him.
QUESTIONS:
1) if we keep him as part of the female herd just as a fun goat who cleans brush, WILL HE GET TOO AGGRESSIVE toward the girls/US? (Think HORNS growing like crazy. 2 of the 4 girls have horns but I doubt they'd use them as a defense against him.)
2) Even if he's sterile, will his presence cause the milk to "be ruined?" (I HATE that "goat smell" in milk and, right now, our milk is wonderful.)
