I am getting my nigerian dwarf does back from the breeder tomorrow  and was wondering if they need any special supplements, changes in feed intake, etc...? They regularly get 1 3/4 cup of 12% sweet feed and are soon getting hay.

Ideally you only cut grain out for the first month, or limit. The last 6 weeks are crucial to working up to lactating ration, as this is when the kids take the most nutrition out of the doe and very important to prevent pregnancy toxemia, and prolonged healing process. You want your doe to come back full swing the quickest she can.
