How do you know for sure that you did the job good enough? We just had our first experience with it and now on to the healing stage. We did get copper rings, although they aren't pretty It took some touching up beyond the initial burn. What should I look for?
I was wondering the same thing. I did my little girl a few weeks ago and the scab has fallen off of one side and it looks very smooth and clean. Now I am wondering how long it would take for scurs to appear, if they are going to.
It could take as long as 6 months for some scurs to occur and longer for you to see just how substantial they're going to be. How much does that suck?? hahaha When you initially disbudd it is a good idea to make sure you get the nub in the center of the copper ring burned by tilting the iron a little and using the edge of the bottom. Takes 2-3 tries but well worth the effort since that's where you'll see the most re-growth.
