UTD means up to date. CDT is clostridium prefinges type c and d and the T is for tetanus. This protects against enterotoxemia and tetanus. Enterotoxemia is also known as the over eating disease. We give it to pregnant does about two weeks before kidding so that she can pass the antibodies on to her kids through the umbilical cord.
It's up to you if you want to use heat lamps. Also depends on your area. In Gunnison, CO where I live, our winters are long, very cold, and can be pretty tough. Just be mindful of the risk of fire if they are too close to the straw or if a goat can break the bulbs (mine can because of their horns).
I like to have molasses on hand for mom after kidding. I put it in some warm water to let her drink and get a boost. I like to have a couple towels, lubricant in case I have to pull, I have a kid emergency tube, dental floss for the umbilical cord if I need it. I also have iodine and a shallow dish to dip the cords. I have kid pullers although I've never used them. I also have goat nutridrench for weak kids or if its very very cold. I also have powdered and frozen colostrum.
Research around. It's different for everyone
