I have an older boer doe in labor today that has me worried. The due date I have for her is tomorrow. This morning she had the long thick ropey discharge. It seemed more clear than amber, but the lighting wasn’t great. Her tail has been mostly down and I don’t think I can feel ligaments but it is harder to tell with it like that. She has a pretty full bag and has been up and down quite a bit and now has definite amber discharge but still no pushing or anything. I was concerned because usually things are pretty quick once I see that. I went in to check her and I can get most of my hand in, but when I go down I feel what must be her cervix and it is only opened about the diameter of my finger. Does this sound normal? Any advice welcome!
