It's time for my first annual checkups. The local vet charges $55 for a well check and $20 for vaccinations. They don't know anything about transportation documentation.

I found one in Tooele who charges $30 for the well check and $8 for vaccinations.
They include transport docs good for 30 days. Clyde at Uinta Pack Goats mentioned them to me.

So I'll put off the checks until a couple weeks before the rendy.

but you may want to have the vaccinations done before that time.

Many vaccines take up to 30 days to become fully effective (resp. the immune response against the vaccinated germ) - two weeks at least - and as vaccinating is a stress to the immune system you should give your goats enough time to handle them and the immune response before putting them under the stress of transport and rendy aka new germs.

Remember to up the vitamin C intake after vaccination because vaccines are vitamin C "killers"
