Hi all. Just wanting a little more input.

My girl is supposed to be due mid Feb. I bought her bred. I check her ligs morning and evening. I noticed for the first time a couple of days ago that her ligs were starting to sag a bit. I wondered do they usually start sagging a month before they are due?? Everything that I have read sounds like the ligs start sagging shortly before kidding. But it doesn't mention a month before. I know they have to dissappear before they kid but what's the normal time period for the ligs to first start sagging to actual birth?? Thanks

Ligaments are different on every goat. Most start to soften about a month before. But once they go the goat kids within a 12 hour time frame. Once you get really good feeling ligaments you will notice that some goats ligs never really go, they just get really really low, but others, they disappear.

Thanks. It has been many years since I had goats so I am learning all over again.
