Well I think they are stinking adorable! Before they became super popular I wanted them until I thought about the fox tails and other weeds that would infest them with stickers.
The only real issue at the moment is they are super popular which means very expensive and I’m not sure how long the fad will last. But if mainly for enjoyment that’s not a issue ;)
If you do go with them or cattle of any kind know they are BIG, they weigh a lot and even being calm cattle you really can’t man handle them like with the goats. Usually one would want equipment to be able to give vaccines or doctor them if they need it. But I think if you get calf’s and halter break them and bond with them very well you could probably get away with not having the equipment and just have a halter and a small pen. So my vote is yes go for it and get calf’s lol

I think getting to know the breed, it's pros and cons....then see if they are a fit for what you're wanting.

I think highland cattle are so cute… and any breed, if got as a calf, can be tamed to be in your pocket.
I wish I had the picture… when my daughter was a baby, I was walking with her in the stroller, my 3yo beside me, followed by our bottle calf Annie, our hound dog Betty, a big Cat Simba, and a chicken to bring up the back of our herd 😆
