Hi everyone, Harriet and Hazel are doing well. Harriet has put on 9lbs in the past two weeks and Hazel has put on 5lbs. Anyway, I have a question about automatice waterers. Ours just messed up after 3 weeks....does anyone use these and if you do what kind? Thanks! Michelle in WV
How did they mes up? Do you have the ones with a floater or the push bar? You can usually get replacement parts at the feed stores or on line. Glad your guys are doing so well!
It is the type with the float. But it is the cheap one (most likely the problem!). We are looking into putting one together using a bucket and one of the stock tank type floaters. Michelle in WV
Yeah, you are better off with a larger tank and floater. The small ones I used for the horses and never really knew how much water they were drinking. Plus if the float breaks at least there is still penty of water. Also the water in the small ones can get hot and then they won't drink.
