One of my baby goats has diarrhea. I gave him pepto bismol but it just seems like it made it worse. What should I do ??

How old is he? What is he eating? What is his temperature? Is he bottle fed?

We definitely need the questions answered. You can take him to the vet and have a fecal done to include coccidia.

He is 5 weeks old. He is eating an 18% pouting grain and hay and a little bit of grass. I have to take his temp once I get my thermometer but he is acting normal and seems fine other than the diarrhea.

Is he getting milk from mom or a bottle? It would be a good idea to take a stool sample to the vet to check for worms or coccidia. How long have you had him? He should really still be getting milk.

He is still nursing on mom. He was one of my 3 kids this year.

Get a fecal for worms and cocci right away.

Will the vet check a stool sample for you if you take one in? If he won't, you might want to treat for coccidia anyway.

You can mail out a fecal to MeadowMist Lab service - google it.

Give him probios some Tummy Trouble Paste:

1/2 teaspoon of cayenne, cinnamon, slippery elm bark powder, and ginger (can be substituted for a slice of raw ginger the size of a quarter about 1/2 cm thick). Blend with 1 raw clove of garlic, molasses, apple cider vinegar, and enough water to drench.

    Give 2-4 times daily.
