It's been a wild year, and I haven't had much time to spend online, so thought I'd re-introduce myself. We live just NW of Ft Worth Texas with a small herd of 14 registered, percentage and commercial Boer does. Just purchased our first registered spotted Boer Buck for breeding next month /spring to my younger does--hoping for good things and maybe a spot or two! We started in Boers about 18 months ago to qualify for our agricultural deduction on our land, and we've really enjoyed them more than I anticipated we would. Hence we have more than the 6 which qualify us <G>. We are working a webpage with our crew at http://dancinggoats.weebly.com/ Glad to be here and get more advice from experienced goat folks. And excited about spring kidding now that I I can feel the kids kick on our herd queen!!! Mary Swindell Boyd TX
Back after a while Thanks guys. I'm so excited, we have 5 does I hope were bred by our homegrown buck, and I can feel the babies kicking on the herd queen. So I hope the other ladies aren't far behind. Lasy year the herd queen and her 2nd in command had their kida 1 hour apart! I can't feel anything on the other does, but they aren't as cooperative. Since I can feel babies I hope we don't have too much longer to wait... Mary
