What breed pigs do you raise? We average about 22 pounds bacon per head on a 300 fat. 40 + pounds per head is amazing 6

They were a Berkshire Hampshire cross. My first time raising pigs. It was a spur of the moment decision when I saw them listed on Craigslist in the spring. Just picked up the bacon and hams from the smokehouse. We actually had 108# bacon from 3 pigs with hanging weights of 260-280#
