At the clinic where I work, we do baerman fecals on large and small animals when the animal looks like it has lung worms. The fecal is very difficult to do, not easy to find the flukes and we usually end up sending the sample to the lab for back-up if we don't find anything. I am not too good at them, but I want to be someday.. So my question is this, has anyone on here ever dealt with lung worms? If so, what did you do for them? How did you know your animals had them?? We rescued a Nubian buckling once that was near dead and he had lung worms.. He had verminous pneumonia it was horrid, but he lived!! Any thoughts??
