I am having trouble banding scurs on my does. They keep sliding up the horn and popping off. I can't even get them to stay put long enough to tape them. Any suggestions?

Some people notch the horn first.... you could try that.

I'm just considering banding our new FA buckling's scurs. They are very large; they look like regular horns. Any advice on the subject would be appreciated. I'm afraid he's going to break them off one day, and bleed to death. We are going to put our horned ND buck with him soon, and I don't want them to head butt each other to death.
