I know alot of people use hay as a bedding material, can you also use
pine shavings the kinlin dry kind with low dust. like what they use at the shows?

What kind of goats do you have?

Sure you can use shavings, but just remember that straw keeps them warmer. I know a lot of people that put the shavings down then the straw to help absorbe the urine.

I use shavings in addition to the wasted hay and diatemaceous earth. It helps with the urine as previously mentioned. We have a packed earth surface with some millings for our barn floor so I find that combination works best.

I use shavings in my kidding stalls with wasted hay on top..shavings absorb very well on my wood floors.
