I have a 5 month old Alpine boer cross buckling, is he old enough I could wether him without issue?
if he isn't when should I have him done?
I'm estimating he is around 30-40 pounds but dont have a exact weight.

Thank you for all advice. :)

Yes, he's old enough. Can you get a better weight on him or measure his heart girth and tell us the inches. He would be very tiny at that weight. I'd expect him to be more than 60 lbs.
What is a heart girth? His chest? Sorry, I'm new to goats. I'm just going by him being lighter to carry than a 50 pound bag of feed.
He is smaller than I expected him to be maybe his breeder gave me the wrong age.
That could be. His heart girth is the spot where a saddle cinch would go if he were a horse. Under his chest and around right behind his shoulders.
