I brought over a neighbor's billy on dec. 24th to stay here to breed my two girls. They were not coming into heat that I could tell so I was hoping that he could bring them into heat and breed them. He still is chasing one of them around and rubbing on her and drinking her urine..blehh! How can I tell if he has "done the deed" or if she still needs to be bred? Looks like we have had him here for 34 days.

Thanks,

Margaret

Most does have a normal cycle of 18-21 days, if he's still showing interest in the one she may be starting into estrus again. Keep him at least a week longer to ensure a breeding with her and those extra few days in the case that she has a standing heat 5-7 days after you see her stand for him.
Normal signs if breeding was not observed are that the does he did breed will have messy tails and discharge for a week afterwards.
