Black walnut capsules

Just a thought and not an action here. Any one ever use black walnut capsules for worm treatment in goats. I know it’s not to be used on dogs and horses but I also know that a few black walnut leaves can help with worms but my goats won’t touch them. As I said just a thought , I haven’t given any body the capsule. Thanks

This is very interesting. My goats will not eat the leaves from a black walnut at all. I chopped some up one time and mixed with other things they liked and some smelled and walked off and others separated the walnut pieces from the oats and alfalfa mix and left the small pieces of walnut leaves. Goats are pretty clever into getting what they want. I have a couple that the feed I give is a 50/50 oats / alfalfa with a little sun flower seed mixed in, they with pick out the sun flower and oats seeds leaving the alfalfa behind. These I have to pen off and feed only alfalfa first then a little oats.

Still the question remains, would the black walnut capsule be beneficial in fighting a worm load of BP worms? Has anyone out there tried the capsules?
I guess you get to be the experimentor.
Black walnut is included in a lot of anti-parasitics. It IS strong, though, so I prefer it in a mix rather than alone.

If you wanted to combine with some thyme, ginger powder, cayenne powder, cinnamon, clove, maybe some mustard seed powder, hyssop, and mullein - you'll have yourself a nice DIY wormer.

If you don't want to do all that, I guess you could experiment with just black walnut.

I've never used capsules, but my mom used to make a black walnut hull tincture that we would take for worms. That stuff was powerful!
I don’t want to hurt her or make her sicker. Thanks for the reply’s.

I assume that the capsules are crushed powder like inside capsule. I could mix with something else in a drench maybe?? Like was mention, cayenne pepper, slippery elm , thyme, cinnamon and such and drench it??
I don't mess with black walnut. There's people who have degrees in herbology to do that type of thing.
