Hello fellow goat lovers,

One of my beloved goats, Taco, was disbudded before I got him. However, since I have owned him, he has grown and lost a number of mini horns throughout the past year, with a teeny bit of blood. Now, he has grown FOUR horns, and one of them appears to be breaking off with more blood than before! Is this something I should be concerned about? Any suggestions/advice/recommendations would greatly be appreciated!

Thanks!

Those are spurs. Not much you can do. Once they stop bleeding, you can put some blue kote on. Can you post a picture of them?

Thank you for the reply. I didnt take a picture :( It was hard enough to try to get near him once he figured out i was trying to touch the top of his head. It isn't bleeding throughout the spur, just at the base. I can't reach my vet and I have not heard of blu kote until now so I don't have any :( I am relatively new to owning goats but have had my horses for 8 years. Anything else you recommend?
