Boer kids critique

    2 weeks ago my dam had twins. We took pictures of them today, but I wanted other goat raisers' opinion :).

    First 2 photos are the buckling (1st born) then the last 2 photos are the doeling.

    They’re so adorable! Unfortunately, it is too early to judge them. At this age, you can check bites, teats, pigment, and ADG (average daily gain).

    I agree, they are adorable and especially to already be on a lead chain!
    Check bites and teats, but I wouldn't stress about pigment, some don't get full pigment until later. Teats can and will change so you can check now, get an idea of their structure, and check again later. You'll have a really good idea of structure at 4 months old.

    I agree, they are adorable, but too young to critique.

    At 1 month old is the better time to evaluate and know where they are going.
    As they can change dramatically within that time period.;)
