Bonding…

As you may know from my other thread, I am getting a Nubian bottle baby buckling on the 5th of April. I just learned I may have to go away on the 7th 🫤 and so someone else would be filling in for me.
But I really wanted him to bond with me, and if I have to go away will he still bond with me when I’m back? Or will he bond with the person looking after him only?
I feel kinda stupid asking this but it’s my first time having bottle baby goat.. I really want him to be my pal! 🙃

My bottle baby was 2wks when I got him, and he bonded to me pretty quick. Then again, I am the beholder of the bottle so…
I think they’re just generally friendly with people

Yup, I totally agree. He will be your buddy even if you don't see him for 2 days. Bottle babies are just plain nice!

I was getting groceries out of the truck and Mixter had the zoomies and almost killed me 🙄

You don't want him so bonded that no one else can take care of him. After all my children moved out, my goats were used to just me, alone, and would hide and run when others came over. Now I have people come over on purpose to handle the kids so they are not so difficult with others.

I got a mini saneen that was raised as bottle baby by someone else. She mugs me, steal my tea, climb on me, snuggle and trip me all the time! You prolly be begging to be left alone, but you will love it!

Yeah I can’t wait! Who wouldn’t wanna be tormented by a goat?? Thank you so much for comforting me!
I have family, little Bros and Mom & Dad, but I want me to be his ‘special’ one. That’s the way it is for my girls… they love everyone but I am ‘special’. (Probably coz I have the treats. 😂)
