My little Igor (LaMancha baby) got banded and disbudded yesterday afternoon around 5pm. I brought him home and let him rest and around 7:30, he ate his evening bottle. This morning, he wont eat. Usually his morning bottle is the biggest meal and he just played with the nipple for a bit, then walked away. He seems very sore and just wants to sleep. Is this normal??

I'm so worried, if anything happens to him, I'll just die :help: :(

That temp is in the normal range. I would assume, that yes he's sore and food just isn't his top priority. Skipping one or two feedings isn't anything to be too concerned about. If he continues to refuse his bottle or starts to seem weak though, I'd get a hold of the vet.

I meant to add that you could give him a bit of nurtidrench and see if that perks him up.

yeah, I wouldn't worry too much yet. He probably is really sore.

I'd just make sure he is still peeing ok after the banding. Also like was mentioned, if he doesn't start eating by tonight then I'd be worried.

I got him to eat a few ounces yesterday around 5pm, then at around 9:30 he ate a good 6 ounces. This morning he ate a good 12 ounces!! :stars: And he's back to his old naughty self with me following him around pulling things out of his mouth and telling him no. I guess i should've enjoyed yesterday when he just slept all day :slapfloor:

THANKS to everyone who gave me advice, this was my first banding experience ever and i wasn't told what to expect afterwards
