Hi everyone. I am new to the site, but I have a question about my 2 and 1/2 year old nigerian dwarf. About a week ago the bottom part of her horns have been chipping and flaking off. When you touch her head she seems to be sensitive but whats me to scratch. She is a indoor/outdoor goat. I am not sure what to do to help her. So please if anyone has any suggestions please let me know thank you.

welcome to the forum!!!

peeling, flaking horns could be from a mineral deficiency, either, biotin, selenium, vitamin E/D, or even calcium.

Do you have loose mineral out for her? is your area selenium deficient?
