One of my does, Rose, went into heat today, so I put her into the bucks pen. I am wondering if I should keep her in there all day, or part of the day? Also, since she is in heat today, should I also put her in there tomorrow, too?

I usually look to see 3 to 4 good breedings and then take them out, but leaving her in there all day won't hurt anything. If mine are still in standing heat the next day I put them back in, but I don't think that matter too much.

I personally bring her to him (if separate) to see if she'll accept him. Usually they stand right away once they figure out who he is and his purpose. I do 3 in-hand breedings to be sure she doesn't get squirrelly and keep walking away. After 3 in-hands, I let him have her for the day. I take her away once she starts running away, or biting.
