I’m considering using a 100% fullblood Savanna buck on my commercial meat does next year. They are mostly boers, kiko boers, and Boer Nubians. I was wondering if most of the kids would be white regardless of what color the dams are? Does anyone have experience with Savanna crosses? Thanks!
Any color is a possibly but, yes, the majority will be white. You’ll probably get some typical black or red solids, paints, and traditionals, and maybe the occasional red or blue roan.
I haven't ever used a Savanna buck but had a few cross does. Blue roaning was very common when crossed with my Boer Buck. Also got several blond paints.
I have 3 Savannah boer xs Stella Shes @250 lbs..3 yrs old Maggie May & Guinevere They are 5 & 6 month olds in front of 7 & 8 month old red boers
