So I have 2 ewes that are 7-8 months old and I have a buck in with them I know one of them is being bred because I've seen but I have never seen the buck try the other one? Is there anyway you could tell if he is breeding her?

A female goat is a doe :) ......the only way to tell for sure is to see the act or a breeding harness that leaves a color behind when bred (I have purple goats right now :) ) you can keep a eye out for her tail being messy she will have mucus on her girly parts and tail hair but some have that with just a heat alone. If you see it write it down as a due date to be on the safe side. And some seem to leave no sign behind when the deed is done.

A male sheep is a ram ;)
Well I was going to say that too bit thought we were talking goats lol.....I know nothing of sheep so I don't know if the messy tail goes with sheep I would go for the harness if you really want to know when she is bred. The calk isn't that expensive and you can use the harness for years.
