Brought my new goat home

    Just picked her up a hour and a half ago. :) I just came in to warm up some milk to take to her,I should have some pics tommorrow! :greengrin:

    Ok,I fixed it,I used IMG instead of direct link.

    and a few questions:
    how much grain should she be getting? she's 8 weeks old.
    are the speckled ears a Nubian trait or do other breeds have them to?
    from her color would you say she has Alpine in her? I know shes part Nubian.

    yes part alpine.

    I know with nigerians you can get the speckled ears but I don't know about Alpines or Toggs. I know with Oberhaslis they can't and of course Saanen's wouldn't either

    Aww! She's cute! Congrats! :greengrin:

    More than likely...the frosted ears came from the Nubian. I am not saying that Alpines don't have frosted ears...but I can't remember seeing one that did.

    She's sure pretty!!! I was going to get my new doeling this weekend-but the gal that was supposed to bring her-forgot to get her:(. It is the lady who did our milk test this weekend. She said she got about 15 minutes from her house and realized she forgot her. So, hopefully she'll remember to bring her to the show this weekend.
