Bucks mouth has sore like bumps

Does anyone know what this is? Is it caused from him peeing on himself? I only noticed it today. Should I give him a shot of ivermectin? (Disclaimer: he has a snotty nose but my vet thinks it from scar tissue because it’s not an infection. So not related)

And he also does have a dry cough that he’s had for a while that had calmed down a bit but one of his kids from last year seems to have the same problem with a cough. So I have been looking for new bucks. In your guys opinion with this contant nasal discharge and cough and since the cough seems to be passed down. Should I get a new herd sire? My vet seems to have no answer for the cough.

I am no expert but that looks like staph or sore mouth.
Some one with more knowledge can help. He has a beautiful face.

That’s what I’m leaning towards as well. The large spot on his lip looks like it’s raised up which would point more towards sore mouth but the others look more like staph. I would try treating for staph first. If they start to get really crusty then it’s probably sore mouth. There’s something a lot of people use that the name is not coming to mind, but I have successfully used tea colored iodine and wash the staph area, not really scrub vigorously but just kinda wash it (if that makes sense). If it turns crusty and is pointing to sore mouth there isn’t anything to cure it. It has to run its course but if he starts to go off feed, or you just want to do something for him, neosporn (spell check) to soften the scabs will sooth the pain.

Chlorhexidine works great on Staph. A cough that has never gone away could be mycoplasma.
