Can CL bumps go away on their own...?

I have a buck that seemingly overnight developed an abcess on his cheek early this year. I was worried it was CL at first but then it started to get smaller and slowly disappeared and was completely gone. I did check often to make sure it hadn't burst and it never did, It just got smaller until it was completely gone. So I thought maybe just a tooth abcess or that he got poked with hay or something minor.

Now a few days ago, We were letting the goats outside and I noticed a pretty big abcess in another CL spot, In front of his back leg. I freaked out and immediately separated him. I've been keeping an eye on it to see what happens and was planning to lance it as soon as I can get help to do so. But tonight when I checked, It's noticeably smaller. Like MUCH smaller. In fact I didn't even see it first, Checked his other side and it wasn't until I double checked the first side that I found it again. Again, It hasn't burst, There's no openings, no pus or anything. It's a soft and squishy abcess and has been since I noticed it a few days ago.

Is it possible for CL bumps to dissappear without bursting or being lanced?
If not, Any ideas what would cause an abcess like that near his leg?

What should I do??

Not CL.
CL is a hard abscess and suppose to take a while before to ripens.

I would suspect bug bites.
Ants, bees, wasps, spiders.

Can bug bites get so big, about the size of a gulf ball?
It's even smaller today. At least half the size it originally was.
I attached a photo of it today, it is bald on the tip and has been since I first noticed it.

It can be anything. Did you give a shot there?

As suggested above, vaccines can cause swelling and abscesses as well.

Depends on the bug or snake, which bit or stung, but yes it can.

No, I haven't given any shots there. It's right in front of his back leg kinda on his belly there.

It's the time of summer when there's tons of bugs everywhere. Flies and spiders are really bad in the barn and who knows what else in the pasture.

It's still getting smaller so I'm hoping it just goes away completely

I would suspect a sticker or thorn. CL doesn't go away..it gets bigger, looses hair..softens..then bursts.. it doesn't shrink. So that is the good news.

Update: It stopped getting smaller and stayed the same size for a couple days before it did end up opening up and leaking puss. It looks like it's CL. :(
Now I have to figure out what I'm going to do with him....
CL doesn't come and go... test any pus you can squeeze out to know for sure. Keep him penned until you know. Dont panic. Test. If there is nothing left to test..flush him clean a few days and let things heal then watch him close for more cysts.

I may possibly be able to squeeze out more puss, If I can how do I send it to be tested and where to?

Waddl is good...
Some vets will collect it,
prepare it for sending it in to a lab and send it in for you. Or just bring a sample in and they take care of it for you. Contact your vet.
