Did you not want to milk her for milk for your family?

I would start now with leaving baby with mom 24/7. With only the baby's needs, her milk production will hopefully slow down for you as the baby doesn't drink as much. But you will have to do something with her if you wean the baby. Saanens are known for being heavy milkers so it may be difficult to dry her up at such an early stage in her lactation.

I would also definitely slow down on the grain and possibly get to no grain if you try to dry her up.
