The boys are going to get castrated tomorrow, by the vet. Surgically.

What kind of anesthesia can goats not have again?

I looked back in Gussy's dehorning thread and local anesthesia can be safely given to goats, its general that you want to avoid.

I'm not totally sure but I thought you didn't have to put boys under to castrate them surgically?

MY vet used IV Xylazine for pre-sedation and then Isofluorane for complete sedation. I just looked at my vet report as well. I have no idea what any of that stuff is...

Well babies you usually don't have to sedate completely, if you do you can have harmful consequences since they are so small.

My vet just a gave a local right into the scrotum and that was it. Well he also got a booster CDT at the same time.

Okiedoke, the vet is my friend and also has worked on goats, but I can't go to the appt. with the babies, because I have to take the WASL. :sigh:
